ARE YOU MANIFESTING STRESS UNKNOWINGLY

It’s a mad, mad, mad world.

At every corner, people are talking stress.

Talking stress, taking stress, manifesting stress.

Yes.  You are manifesting your stress.

HOW?

How many times do you sit down for a proper meal?  How many times do you pay complete attention to what the other person is saying?  How many activities do you do one at a time – no multitasking?  How many times do you simply sit and relax doing nothing?

You got your reply.

In this modern age, we are moving through our days in a hurried, frantic pace.  Multitasking at every opportunity presented.  Innumerable cups of coffee substitute our meals.  Sleep for many is at a premium.  A recent survey conducted shows that there are 100 K accidents every year, many of them fatal resulting from Americans routinely falling asleep at the wheels of their cars.

This is a recipe to create stress straight from hell.

I have nothing against multitasking.  I too do it.  I have nothing against skipping a meal once in a while.  I have nothing against sleeping less once in a while.  We all do it.  But if this becomes routine, a habit, it is dangerous.

Spending time doing nothing is important.  Spending time doing what you like is important.  Connect with yourself everyday.  Creation can begin only in silence.  Only in silence, can you think of your new reality.

My personal stress busters are:

Trying to keep calm no matter how much I have to hurry.  I keep telling myself to be calm even while I am working fast.  I understand that being flustered in not going to increase my pace of work.

I love reading.  I make it a point to read for atleast half an hour before bedtime every day.  Reading transports me to a different world.

I classify what I have to do under A, B & C.  Jobs which are most important are classifed under A.  They have to be done today.  B is medium in importance.  C is least important.  I do the A class work first, then the B class. C class is work done as per time and energy.  I try and balance my day as far as possible.

I do not take phone calls which are not meant for me.

I take a car pool to work.  Saves me the stress of driving everyday.  Good company also.

I, along with 3 other Moms take turns babysitting .

I try to outsource certain jobs where I think the end result will not be affected much.

Everything does not have to be perfectly done.  Some jobs are okay if done so-so.

I along with my family take a small holiday – maybe for a day or two also every three months.

Get rid of your stress.  Identify the events that make you stressful.  Think how you can better cope with them.  Think in advance how you will react, feel when that event comes.  Remind yourself to be calm.  Best of all, visualize yourself feeling and acting calm when that event takes place.  You will feel the stress dissapear.

Certain scenic pictures have a very calming effect.  Keep them where you can see them regularly.  When feeling stressed, visualize yourself at that place, enjoying yourself and feeling calm.

If you are naturally a hyper person, then you need to meditate preferably twice daily – immediately after getting up and before sleeping.  This will make you calmer.

Have daily, mid weekly and weekly goals.  This is will give you more flexibility in your schedule.

Learn to say No when required.  You do not have to be superman.

Remember, you can think clearly only when you are calm.  The calmer you are, the faster you can manifest.
